Custom Toolbar

I don't know how many of you might know this little trick, I have done it in both PSP8 and PSP9 and it works well in either version. I have tried it in PSPX and it is a bit different. When I get it figured out, I will add it on here. So for PSP8 and PSP9 here goes.

First, click on View and at the bottom of the dropdown, you will see Customize, click on that and it will open a new box.

Click on the Toolbars tab. As shown by the arrows, put a check in the Effects box and take the checks out of the Photo and Script boxes. I have never used either of these and they just take up space in the toolbar. The open space will receive the Effects toolbar.

When you click on OK, a new toolbar will open in your workarea. Close the box and click and drag the new toolbar to the open space in the toolbar you just created by taking out the Photo and Scripts. It will now look something like this

Now that you have your new toolbar installed, follow the step above to get the Customize box back. This time click on Commands.

You can now Customize the new toolbar with any effects you want, for example, we use Effects 3D Effects Drop Shadow alot. It is already installed for you along with Inner Bevel and several others. Any you don't want in the toolbar, click and drag back to the right side of the Command box and any you want to put in the toolbar, click and drag from the right side of the Command box to the toolbar. Here is what it will look like and what the symbols mean. Of course, yours will be different than mine, but this will give you and idea.

If you notice, you can put a button on the toolbar to open the Customize option. Then anytime you wish to make alterations to the toolbar, just click on the white box with the red check in it and the Customize option will open just like when you did it above.

Voila, you have just saved yourself alot of time running to the top of the toolbar, searching down through the dropdown box and selecting the effect you want. All you have to do now, is just put your cusor on the effect in the toolbar and left click. It is that simple.
Hope this helps some out there and makes your PSP'ing more pleasant.
