As I drive through the darkness,
I feel that you are near.
To help me guide the wheel,
to help me shift a gear.
The hours,they go marching on,
the miles go flying by.
The stars and moon slide overhead,
hung in a cloudless sky.
The suddenly the sky turns pink,
and then a flaming red.
And up above the mountain rim,
the sun peeks it's sleepy head.
Light blue from the darkness grows,
then deep alabaster blue.
White balls of cotton race along,
all there for me to view.
And so with the coming light,
another day is born.
Chasing away the dark of night,
on this beautiful morn.
